About the 2026
Black Male Initiaitive Conference
The Black Male Initiative (BMI) Conference is Delaware State University’s annual gathering dedicated to advancing the academic, personal, and professional success of Black male high school and college students. Our 2026 conference invites young men to explore identity, purpose, leadership, and opportunity through powerful workshops, mentorship, and hands-on experiences.
Who Should Attend?
The BMI Conference welcomes a community of learners, leaders, supporters, and advocates.
Primary Audience
- Male high school students (Grades 9–12)
- Male college undergraduate students
Also Encouraged to Attend
- Parents & guardians
- School counselors & administrators
- Teachers, advisors & community youth mentors
The conference is designed to provide students with the tools, exposure, and encouragement needed to thrive academically, professionally, and personally.
